RESUME
The evaluation of energy transition scenarios requires a good accounting of the physical flows of resources and the effects of such a shift in a monetary economy. Using the GEMMES model as a theoretical framework, we have worked on matching information on monetary and physical flows into a stock-flow consistent environment. We will present the methodological choices taken for two different research projects : Macroeconomic use of natural resources; and, the GEMMES Brazil. The lack of sources of detailed data in both cases is the first challenge to be tackled. Aggregation, valuation and the right specification of the role of capital in the production function is also discussed. Finally, the strategies taken to deal with the building of the databases and their implementation are presented.
The research seminar of the Chair is organized by Adrien Nguyen-Huu, Research associate
