Richard Gilbert is a PhD student in environmental and development economics at the CEE-M (Centre d’Economie de l’Environnement de Montpellier) affiliated with INRAE (Institut national de recherche pour l’agriculture, l’alimentation et l’environnement) and the institute Agro Montpellier. His work focuses on the interactions between biodiversity and economical development. The goal of his research is to understand to what extent economical conditions impact biodiversity and the efficiency of conservation policies. It also aims at understanding how biodiversity can influence economical conditions for populations. Richard Gilbert Nikiema holds a double master from the CERDI (Université Clermont Auvergne), in project analysis and economical analysis.
