After studying management and economy, Maryeme did her PhD in economy at the Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique et aux Energies Alternatives (CEA)’s Institut Technico-Economique des Systèmes Energétiques (ITESE) in Saclay. She presented her thesis “Morocco, solar energy development hub in Noth Africa, scenarios and success factors” in 2021. She now works as an engineer environment economist at SciencesPo’s Observatoire Français des Conjonctures Economiques (OFCE).
