Laurence Scialom is a University Professor, she co-directs the Master in Economic and Social Sciences and directs the Master 2 Institutions Economy and Society at the University Paris Nanterre. She is a member of the Scientific Councils of the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) and the Fondation Nicolas Hulot pour la nature et l’homme. She is also a member of the Investor Consultative Commission of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), of the Observatory of Ethics in Public Life, and a qualified member of the NGO Finance Watch. Her work focuses on issues of banking regulation, financial stability, capture of regulators and conflicts of interest in the financial sphere, and the transformation of finance in the light of ecological transition. She published in 2019 by Fayard “La fascination de l’ogre ou comment desserrer l’étau de la finance”.
